Tonight was tough.
It’s 8:19am and I have yet to actually sleep. Tonight, she & I removed some things that were getting slightly in the way of our relationship; note the slightly.
I definitely learned not to compare myself to an ex. It’s really not a good idea. It makes you feel like you’re not good enough for your partner and it seriously can make you spiral into thinking so many unwanted thoughts that usually aren’t even rational. I read and saw a hell of a lot of things I really didn’t want to read tonight, but it gave me great pleasure to delete everything that I read and saw from existence; though I’m praying to god that everything I read and saw doesn’t stay in my mind for a long period of time.
At the end of the day, it’s all in the past. I can’t change the past. I can only affect what’s in front of me now and impact the future. And what I have in front of me now is a girl who means more to me than anyone and anything else in the world. All I want to do is show her how much I love her completely as myself, and pray she accepts me fully for who I am (which, deep down, I know she does). I can’t let an ex or anyone else effect the way I am with her. That would be irrational. So, now that I have that out of my system, I feel as though I may finally be able to get a little bit of shut eye, and face the rest of the day positively, with her being my first priority for everything.
I love you, Tory. So much. xx
